Hi
I'm trying to identify the actual location of a streamed media file, but having no luck at all.
Any help anyone could give to find the url that I could input to Streambox VCR would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I tried to punch these into Net Transport which also downloads streams and came up with nothing,it
connects and kicks off.I do see the word "protected" in the url,so the server is probably using some
login feature.Sorry maybe try these apps
SDP-only downloads Windows Media
http://sdp.ppona.com/
Net Transport-Downloads just about everything except Quictime-shareware
http://www.net-xfer.com/default.htm
Basically a clone of Net Transport but freeware-never used it but i here good things

There has just been a remarkable interview broadcast on BBC News, and I would love to download the video so that I can watch it again - the stream is up, but that's inconvenient for re-viewing, because I want to be able to show it to others and I don't have a wireless-anywhere-in-the-house connection... I can't figure out the URL from URLSnooper - could anyone lend a hand? The interview is here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/hardtalk/4924244.stm
mouser:
that's an easy one, url snooper found it as (5.8mb):
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/news/olmedia/n5ctrl/progs/06/hardtalk/nicholson13apr.rm
you really shouldn't have had any trouble getting the url from urlsnooper unless you've got something misconfigured - it should be picked up as soon as you start viewing the video, and it's the only url it should find if you have "multimedia urls" selected as the protocol in url snooper.
