This cat has some serious navigational skills.

Nobody knows how it happened: an indoor house cat who got lost on a family excursion managing, after two months and about 200 miles, to return to her hometown.

^ that's a great story. I love it when the scientists are stumped :D

A friend of mine moved across the city once, her cat was missing at the time. It turned up at their new home a month or two later. That could have been chance - not as dramatic as some of the stories there, but was still impressive.

A couple of young girls meet a fennec fox:

Can anyone translate what they are saying? Is it a pet or something wild they just stumbled across?

A dog and his friend the dolphin get together for their almost daily swim...

Incidents like this are why I find dogs such fascinating people.

This little otter gets some swimming lessons from mom.

Sure glad humans don't *learn* this way.  ;D

Man and Dog save two girls from icy river...

An amazing story of how Edmonton’s Adam Shaw and his dog Rocky rescued Krymzen and Samara Sunshine is a heart warming story that shows the bravery of strangers and how proud we are of these heroes.

The man was out for a walk in a city park with his wife, kids and dog Rocky when they heard the commotion. Shaw and Rocky eventually were able to rescue the two girls who were floating on the North Saskatchewan River...

Baby meerkat that was shunned at birth and expected to die is saved… by a PET DOG..
After nearly two months together, the pair have forged an inseparable bond.

Ignore Terence McKenna's hippie rantings... or not, your choice.
