db90h:
I see SnagIt has updated again, supporting videocasting now. http://feeds.betanews.com/~r/bn/~3/JX3AHLhM6wk/

I have version 10, but am reluctant to upgrade to 11

Carol Haynes:
The catalogue of changes seem to be unimpressive and not worth the money. Most of them are minor bugfixes and quite a few removing features!

Nothing compelling added as far as I can see:

http://www.techsmith.com/snagit-version-history.html?ver=11.

I have bought versions of SnagIt since version 2 but I don't think I will bother with this upgrade.

(By the way I thought SnagIt had supported video capture for some time - the ionly mew feature seems to be MP4 support, and output directly to three webservers - two of which belong to TechSmith and are subscription based)

I hope potential SnagIt users will check also out my Screenshot Captor tool as an alternative, or if you want to see a different kind of program for video capture (of webcam not desktop), check out WebCam Video Diary.

db90h:
I still do use Screenshot Captor myself. It is a great tool. Nice work on it, using whatever third party components and code from the web you use. It came together well. My intention was not to advertise some competing product, as clearly they are full blown commercial. It was more 'informational'
