Calculator 7 project at Codeplex to equal Win7 Calculator?
« on: January 15, 2012, 06:55 AM »
There's a new project started at codeplex.com called Calculator 7
Calculator 7 was developed keeping in mind that the Windows XP & Windows Vista Users are not able to utilize the Advanced Calculator present in Windows 7 OS. This calculator is built using latest microsoft .net framework 4.0.

The Win7 Calculator is a rather nifty and advanced calculator and conversion tool, so the Codeplex Calculator 7 might be worth watching if you don't have Win7.

The Windows 7 calculator is decent, but it's still a step down from the Microsoft PowerToy Power Calculator for Windows XP.

I want that back.

Thanks for the information. I came here after private conversation with Tomos about his the calculator screenshot which appearing in this post. The calculator is Windows 7's Calculator which I can't use in XP.

Microsoft PowerToy Power Calculator for Windows XP looks more powerful and more complex than Win7 Calculator.

For casual daily use, perhaps I just use FC FARR plugin. :)

I had forgotten how handy that is -
our conversation reminded me of it and I installed it yesterday

(used dcupdater to get it - it doesnt seem to come in the default FARR portable version)
