Weird.

I haven't seen that yet. But today I did see a little pop up text ad which was animated. So I guess it wasn't a text ad. It was more like those annoying GIF ad banners from ~12 years ago.

Well, looks like things are evolving.

I noticed a little while ago that when the countdown for the ads gets to 3 or 2, your mouse cursor disappears so that you can't close the ads. You need to wiggle your mouse and find the cursor again, buying them an extra second or two.

Carol Haynes:
Well we are looking at the death of YouTube - there are plenty of other platforms for video that don't do this so I guess most people will start removing their videos and placing them somewhere else. It really isn't acceptable behaviour. It's one thing having ads on the page but a completely different level of intrusion to actually destroy content in this way.
