Crash in Win7 with LibreOffice Calc
jshare:
I'm on Win7 64-bit Home Premium, CH+S 2.09.01.
Here's how I can systematically reproduce this bug:
* Open a spreadsheet in LibreOffice/OpenOffice
* Left-click any row number, which selects the entire row
* Ctrl-C
At this point, Win7 tells me:

Anyone else seeing this?
Jacob
mouser:
Hi Jacob.
I can report that it does not crash with my open office (a bit old version) spreadsheet on windows xp pro (x64).
But I don't doubt it's happening on yours -- I just have to figure out why..
Can anyone else reproduce the problem?
In the meantime as a poor workaround until the bug is fixed you could add open office to the list of programs that CHS should ignore. Just go to CHS options tab "Capture Options" and put the openoffice executable in the Ignore list (upper left).
For OpenOffice I think the filename to add is: soffice.bin
Meanwhile, I will try to reproduce this on a virtual machine with windows 7 and new version of open office. Jacob can you check that the contents of the row dont matter? if you just have a row with 1 number in it, the crash still occurs?
jshare:
Yes, I can confirm that even a row with a single digit (in only one cell) is enough to get the crash.
Regarding "Capture Options", if I add soffice.bin, I can copy & paste again. However, once I exit Calc and discard my changes, then CH+S crashes anyway. But if I save my changes, it doesn't crash.
Just to be ultra-sure, I removed soffice.bin from "Capture Options". With that out of the way, CH+S crashes regardless of whether I discard my changes or save my changes.
mouser:
Ok I a reproduce it on windows 7 in a virtual machine -- so i should be able to fix it. i'm on it.
mouser:
Ok first report is, I'm fairly certain the bug is related to Duplicate Checking.
Can you try turning off duplicate checking (might be sufficient to also choose "Leave Original Ignore New") and see if that fixes the problem (if so you can remove sofice from the exclude list):
Let me know if that works for you. Meanwhile I will try to fix the root of the problem.
