IDEA: Stalled Printer

When printer seems to "lock-up", it doesn't let you cancel all(or any) documents, would like an app or batch file to clear it quickly. (The batch file presently available at: http://lifehacker.com/5495818/cancel-a-print-job-without-waiting-years  is not working.) Thank you so much.

I wish I had time to grab this one but I don't. However it sounds (I am guesing here) like the script is running into a permissions issue ... in which case an app version wouldn't really help. Can you give a bit more detail on when, which part of what (and on which OS) is "not working"?

Thanks for the quick reply Am using XP Pro/SP3, 2GB RAM. This happens at times using various apps, and various printers. It occurs when I click on "Print" or on File/Print. BTW- It occurs on both, laser printer and inkjet printer. I do know the registry work around(to delete the spooled docs), but would like a quicker solution. Again, thank you.

Stoic Joker:
Um... Actually, I was aiming more at this:

The batch file presently available at: http://lifehacker.com/5495818/cancel-a-print-job-without-waiting-years  is not working.-tosim (November 01, 2011, 09:21 AM)

I'm wondering what part of the script isn't working? Is it taking to long, failing, or is it a just convenience issue sort of not working? I'm already familiar with the how they get stuck part. :)

tosim:
Actually, none of the script seems to work. Thank you again for your interest.
