How about if the last person had cody in the speak ballon? (instead of the $ sign)

i might be over-analyzing, but i like how in the first talking heads one, the guy speaking $ is not isolated from the rest. otherwise it feels like too much emphasis on the $. but when he is just one of the others it feels more appropriate.
