Contest - Make a new Banner for Website

note: my initial post about formats and filenames was specifying wrong filenames and format for the forum.
i've converted those already sent to me, but future entries should use the formats now shown here:

i.e.
in the future the forum images should also be png and named
topbanner_forum.png and sliver_forum.png

Just a minor warning:
@qrade: i think there's something in the top of the image you submited. the small black-to-white gradient at the top is not the same in the banner as in the expander. I don't think i explained this well, please look at the top of the banner on the testpage: https://www.donationcoder.com/Contests/banner/qrade1/index.html

Hey wreklessxx - nice job.

A lot of the other submissions have a sort of a white out affect going on.  Lots of whie in the color to make it fade in.

The wreklessxx submissions have more of a jewel tone look.  It makes the banner pop a little more.

I only mention this becuase I am proud of myself for being able to figure out the differecne. I'm usually color challenged according to my wife :)

can i just ask, if the new banners follow a completely different colour scheme to the rest of the forum (as it is at the moment), then, will the forum colour layout be changed to match a winning banner that has a novel set of colours?

i.e. are we keeping the colour scheme throughout the forum consistent or doesn't it matter?
