So .. another unlimited storage offer.

However, they de-duplicate data accross customers:

They also claim to client-side encrypt all data, yet you can share files and folders by sending people a link (*cough* dropbox *cough*).

Sounds cheap, but personally my first impression doesn't make me want to store all my private data there :-[.

Btw, the comments on the two posts on their blog are quite amusing.

Hmm... Might be a good place to install Steam and all the GiBs of games I've got.

Sounds like it's basically a networked drive (of infinite storage size) to the cloud.

Deozaan:
Sorry to double-post, but I just found this:

Is my Cloudified data secure?

Yes, only you have access to your data. Bitcasa encrypts your data on your computer before uploading to the Bitcasa system. Nobody at Bitcasa can see your data or filenames.-http://www.bitcasa.com/faq#q5

If that's true, then they can't de-duplicate data across customers. And they do what SpiderOak does. Or at least that's what I think it means.

very enthusiastic & uncritical review. First comment is:

> De-duplication, encryption, making sense. Pick two.
