shmate:  i'm not sure if this applies but i use notepad++ to open large text files.   100 meg +

Wow :huh: - np++ doesn't exactly behave well with large files, the underlying edit control (Scintilla) wasn't really written for it.

If I remember correctly, when opening large files in Notepad, Windows will alert you and give you the option to open it in Wordpad instead, which is much better at handling larger text files.

I noted this bug more than 4 years ago.   :(
