Wiki software with authentication

(1/2) > >>

Josh:
Does anyone here in the community know of a wiki package which requires authentication before editing articles, or before a change is published (admin-based approval)? I am looking to migrate a knowledge site I frequent from their manual page edits to a wiki for ease of administration and the above is a requirement.

Renegade:
DNN has a wiki module, and it requires authentication. Does that help?

Josh:
Question is, do those authentication modules allow you to assign privileges to users such as author, edit, etc?

Yes.

I love dokuwiki for this kind of thing, it's very simple flat file system but has built in nice user access stuff:

However i don't think it has a way to let people edit but mark as pending until admin approves -- if you find a wiki engine that does let me know.
