I worked for the Beast Of Redmond Three Times, and can tell you first hand that Microsoft can't make things work well.  Internally, they put more value on marketing than the product.

I moved to Mac for ease of use, fewer viruses, and overall, less complexity.  I am missing CH&S on OSX. Is there anyone out there that could port CH&S to OSX or am I doomed to running XP in a VM?

If I run XP in a VM, CH&S works, but running XP in a VM means it takes 1.5G of memory to satisfy the OS requirements.

I guess what I'm saying is that CH&S functionality is worth running XP in a VM...  But it would be great if it could be ported it to OSX.
