Heheh. Can Apple do nothing right? No, they can't.

Now Greenpeace says this Apple just isn't healthy (for the environment)...

I think it's the result of capitalism -- pure greed. No beauty, art, and rarely any good comes from unchecked capitalism. Whether Apple is building their products in China with what is essentially slave labor or spying on you from their devices, their only goal is to separate every dollar from you.

While I personally think Greenpeace is full of crap and their opinion doesn't really matter, I find it strangely ironic that Apple is the least green company even though Al Gore is on Apple's Board of something-or-others.

Kinda makes you think this whole "green" movement is a bunch of crap as well.

The best things to do if you want to become "greener" is to consume less of everything and do not eat meat everyday. I do not need GreenPeace to tell me this.

Apple...one bite....this does sound eerily similar to the poison apple from the fairytale 'Snow white'.

Guess I understand the turtleneck from Jobs now... :P

+1

That's something that simply drives me into a blood-thirsty rage. (Don't worry - no rant here.)

I cannot stand a bunch of pseudo-environmentalist wankers preaching nonsense about "recycling". There's a reason for:

  • REDUCE
  • Reuse
  • recycle

The consumer economy with manufacturers producing goods that are designed specifically to become useless quicker to force MORE CONSUMPTION is the epitome of hypocrisy.

The recycling industry itself is a joke. e.g. Why push grocers to use plastic bags that are not recyclable, when paper is a renewable and environmentally friendly resource (comparatively)?

I'm quite frankly sick of hearing excuses about "making the markets more efficient". That's horse s**t. No, I take that back... it's...

Potentially NSFW

Yes... that's from a small elephant...

To go on about efficiency is simply insanity. A few quick tidbits of sophistry and it's laid to waste. But as I said, no rant here. Just little elephant messes. :P :D

Slightly off-topic here, but it reminded me of that book about meat etc : Meat - A Benign Extravagance. Fairly interesting. Here's a recent article about it. Meat isn't necessarily evil.
