Mono for Android

Mono for Android enables developers to use Microsoft™

Visual Studio™ to create C# and .NET based applications

that run on Android phones and tablets. Developers can

use their existing skills and reuse code and libraries

that have been built with .NET, while taking advantage

of native Android APIs.

It's now released at v1.0!

C# for Android~! YAY~!

It seems reasonable to me. $400 isn't really that much for what you're getting. You can demo it, and I think the demo is unlimited. I think you need to pay the license fee to actually publish an application. Don't quote me on that though.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's not justified. Just that it's way too much to create freeware with it ;)

You can always have an ad-bar in your freeware. In-app advertising has been very well received on the mobile platform, unlike the desktop.

I've never clicked one of these except by accident :-[. But honestly, I wonder how many clicks you need until it gives you 400$.

40,000? :)

Yeah... I know what you mean.

But, if you have software in the Android store, then it's a feather in your cap, and a line in your resume, and who knows? It could land you that job or gig that pays you a lot more than the $400.
