Changing a folder's name text colour
Contro:
Changing a folder's name text colour
Change color to text name for only a folder
I would like to change the color of the name's text of a folder under windows xp pro.
Best Regards
P.D. Is it possible for a file too ?
Curt:
I know Iconoid can do it on the desktop, because I did it on my Win 2000, but I don't remember if it also can do it with "normal" folders, or even if it can do it on XP: "Select any color for icon text": http://www.sillysot.com/
Edited:
I also used Customize Folder Shell Extension from http://www.clonesoft.com/shellicons/index.htm
- will change color of the folder's text.
Regarding folders, it might be a lot easier today to use FolderMarker Pro.
I haven't heard of anything that can change the colour for individual files.
Contro:
I'll try and comment
:)
MilesAhead:
I think the desktop font color is under control of Windows. For light desktop background it will show as black text. Navy blue will probably cause it to use a white font.
There's several free icon color changers around. I found a few on Softpedia. I don't use desktop icons anymore. If I do a Bullzip print to pdf it may stay on the desktop for 1/2 hour. That's it.
Contro:
Xentient Labels Curt, but it's not a freeware.
I have revised iconoid and is valid under windows xp pro. But only for the desktop and not individual files.
FolderMarker Pro I think don't change the text name.
I'll try folder shell extension and comment.
