My Movie Fantasy
« on: March 22, 2011, 04:02 AM »
I would love to see a horror film that takes place during a sunny warm day with cute, cuddly critters that everyone in the audience loves, but the critters are out to do bad things.

And no flickering lights in abandoned buildings and no rain.

I suppose the closest so far is Lesbian Vampire Killers.

You could always volunteer to chaperon a third grade class trip and bring your camcorder along.  :)

I was waiting for someone to mention Gremlins! :) They're still scaled critters though.

Black Sheep? Never heard of it...

An experiment in genetic engineering turns harmless sheep into blood-thirsty killers that terrorize a sprawling New Zealand farm.

That. Sounds. AWESOME~!

I have got to get my hands on that! :D

If you can't, and you're still interested in a movie about feral sheep terrorizing a helpless community, you could always attend a meeting of my town's local school board - and bring your camcorder along.  :)

P.S. Black Sheep is a trip. Right up there with The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and Monty Python's "Killer Rabbit."

Black Sheep is hilarious...takes place on a sunny day, no rain, and the little mutant from the broken jar is awesomely cute in an "ewwww" sort of way.

And Zombies of Mass Destruction:D

@mahesk2k - sounds cool! But maybe leave Hostel out of the mix?  :tellme:

Hostel was one extremely viscious and exceptionally ugly movie - both for its underlying premise, and for its nasty visuals. It was the first film I ever saw that went so far over the top that I couldn't imagine any way it could ever be considered a form of entertainment. I was seriously shocked by that picture. And I'm no choirboy by any stretch.

I know it's ugly movie, but the plot where students get trapped is worth to use over and over in any thriller/horror part. I don't like much gore violence like hostel, wrong turn, hills have eyes etc. (-serious sam and other violent video games are totally different topic though :D )

Dang!! I was doing all kinds of searches but I couldn't remember Gremlins.  I got the 'g' and kept ending up in the Goonies movie instead! I hate it when that happens. :)

I take it you like Rob Zombie's movies? Those are wicked evil. He's got a very twisted, sinister imagination.

Homicidal Clowns (The Devils Rejects)... What's not to like? :)

Hostel = People with a piqued sense of entitlement + Kicks Just Keep Getting Harder To Find... Funny really how "evil" is easier to accept when it's a mythical creature of some kind. It keeps things tidily abstracted to the it can't really happen zone. - Call it horror at a safe distance. - But when it's just people, be they egotistically sick & twisted or not, doing evil deeds ... the level of "real" becomes a bit (more unnerving) harder to be/stay disconnected from.

That was well put. I think that's what makes Rob Zombie's movies so utterly horrifying. He takes human depravity to new lows.

Rob zombie stuff is quite disturbing for me but it's fun sometimes.

I prefer psychological stuff in both horror and thriller movies, so that's why hostel was odd addition in that reply. lol. Some movies that i like - magnolia, sybil, A Clockwork Orange, Silk  (korean horror), gozu, shutter island etc.

You might like "Fallen". http://en.wikipedia....ki/Fallen_%28film%29

It is one of the best horror films I've ever seen. I've probably watched it between 50 and 100 times. Well, I play it rather often while working as background noise.
