I wonder where he makes the step from "OS suited for professionals" to "MacOS/Apple"?

I might be missing something but nothing there reads close to NSFW although it's probably cause I just skimmed it. (unless you count the F word in the last paragraph but I'm assuming at that point, people would either be already offended or apathetic about the issue)

I wonder where he makes the step from "OS suited for professionals" to "MacOS/Apple"?

It appears to be an Apple based blog so that's probably where the connection comes from.

I could make the connection explicit, but I do not reveal individuals, and that would be needed.

Knowing the industry, I know that he's talking about OS X.

There are only 3 options:

Windows - obviously not from the context
OS X
Linux / Unix

I'll say creative professional. That's enough.

Sounds like he might be an "arteeeeest"...one of those people that thinks Adobe only makes software that runs on Mac and doesn't make any that runs on Windows, because it's impossible to make anything for Windows that's any better than MS Paint.

Probably about the same point people step off buildings thinking they can fly while on PCP...

Kind of a "straw man" debate.

Somebody says something silly, and then gets lambasted at length by somebody else without getting the chance elaborate or respond.

Sheesh! I thought Ann Coulter had exclusive dibs on pulling that trick.  :-\

Not remotely a straw man.

Considering the issue between apple and adobe, how long apple will remain artists platform ? or in anyway remotely close to creative platform ?

Ah, the lack of political correctness - gotta love that, even if it's way over the top and unprofessional :)

As for the quoted part of the (whoever he is) guy's email, well, that's just your everyday stereotypical mac user. Fortunately not everybody is like that... but the mentality is, sadly, pretty widespread. I WANT AN iPHONE!11! :)

Those of us who aren’t programmers have work to do,
That part tells me he's not using Unix/Linux either.
Apparently, you have to be a programmer to run that beast...  :-\

That tipped me over the edge. It is simply mean spirited and completely unnecessary. That kind of stuff sets me off.
