original win98 games

Which is why they were offered on the MS website as a downloadable update for 98.

I don't recall it having spider or golf lite but I cannot remember what they did have. might have been solitare, minesweeper, and ??

if you have the win98 installer CD, you can just extract from the cab files.

do you know which cab file it is in? I have looked through the folders on the cd (except for cabs) but haven't seen any thing.

i don't have the win98 setup cd but most likely you can search the cab files that start with WIN98_xx.CAB. here are the exe filenames on my WinXP. they would have been the same on win98 too.
