Odd Google Behavior

(1/1)

Renegade:
Well, I've been trying to find things that I've found in Google before. Results were more relevant a few months ago than I'm finding now, and I can't find what I wanted.

Is this something that anyone else has noticed? Maybe it's just an isolated thing... Not sure.

Edvard:
Is it that whole "google getting spam results" thing?

Renegade:
The way I phrase keywords is pretty specific, so it should be easy to find the same things... I don't think it's the spam thing as the results I'm getting are a lot of mailing list and forums, but they're not really as relevant and not as high quality as normal articles. It just seems like an odd shift. i.e. I want the article on the topic, not forums and mailing list with nothing but questions on the topic.

From blogspot to rankings, I think so many people are scamming Google these days. JCPenney is just one example of search marketing gone bad. They need an IBM Watson to seek and destroy bogus links, period; there's not enough humanoids to do it.
