Windows Resizing tool
« on: February 12, 2011, 05:08 AM »
I was wondering if there is a windows resizing tool that remembers preferences and with one click launches the set of the application in their predefined space to start working without the hassle to reajust windows again.

I read about Divvy here but it seems do not propose that function yet.

Looked at both tools mentioned (so far), but haven't found how they would launch windows, specified in their sets, if not opened/running yet.

I don't use WinWarden, so I may be quite mistaken (and too lazy to look it up).

But if it works the way I think, then any window you wished would have it's preferences remembered.

As far as launching them in sets, there are many ways to do that.

If you want a certain window displayed one way in one set and another way in another set, you'll have to get clever if you take this approach.

This is what I designed AMPL to do: FARR Plugin: AMPL [updated to version 0.6.2]

I have not worked on it for some time as there was not a lot of interest shown in it, but I use it every day... though it is still pretty rough around the edges ;)

Try WinSize2. Works for me on Windows 7.
