Here's why I wanted to have a Desktop instead of a laptop

(1/1)

This guy has no problems with running out of space in his desktop:

Neither does this guy:

In the Navy, I toted around a laptop -- but when it came time to get a new system this last year I went desktop.  Expandability is definitely a big draw -- it's a lot easier to replace the mouse and keyboard, too.  Laptops are such a nuisance to disassemble.  These fancy 15 monitor systems are a bit beyond my capacity for expansion, though -- and as far from my sense of pragmatism :)

WoW! Thought I had a lot (4)   but that sure is one large amount of monitors for one machine...

jgpaiva:
I sure would like to have a desktop in some situations. Right now, I'm pretty happy with my laptop, since I'm not at my house and still have all my stuff, which is always a plus.
But laptops have the major disadvantage of not being able to expand. I'd love to have good sound and other monitors in my computer, but it takes a lot for that, since it's much more expensive to use one external sound card and impossible for me to have more than 2 monitors (i think 3 would be perfect ;) ).
But still, the next computer will be a laptop, if i haven't got the one i have right now, the portability is just something I can't loose over a few other "desires" :(

Baseman:
I'd love to have a Laptop for music session especially for gigs ect...But the sound card over here is very expensive....But I do know it's well worth it...
