AVAST Software: Over 770,000 pirates plus 2 in the Vatican

What started as a 14-user license for a small firm in Tucson, Arizona issued on June 30, 2009 quickly mushroomed to 774,651 active users by late 2010. The license has been used in over 200 countries ranging from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe – even the Vatican City. Phenomenal growth yes, but except for the original 14 users, all of the others are pirates.

Does the pope sh*t in the woods?
SpoilerYeah, but he also steals AV Software!

mwb1100:
Well, with a name like "AVAST", they shouldn't be surprised if pirates are attracted to that software.

Avast belay, yo ho, heave to,
    A-pirating we go
And if we're parted by a shot
    We're sure to meet below!

Yo ho, yo ho, the pirate life,
    The flag o'skull and bones
A merry hour, a hempen rope
    And 'hey' for Davy Jones!"

Kamel:
Haha, It's funny but not surprising unfortunately. Also very confusing to me personally because it doesn't make sense why they would pirate something that is already free o_O.
