What is next best thing to FARR for Linux?

I know it's not possible but there must be something close to FARR for Linux.

Christmas wishes to all!
Happy Holidays to those who don't.

Depends on what window environment you're using, most all of which are part of the distribution. KDE has a nice fast app built-in:

Otherwise, hit ALT-F2 and start typing. Programs will autofill immediately.

Gnome Do is a Quicksilver like keyboard launcher, it was originally mixed with with a dock ... It seems great, but I read rumors of bugs. I've never tried it though, so this is just rumors ;)

@40hz, i'm still very much a newbiewubi and from what i've been seeing over the past few days, there are many good points in WUBI but also plenty of shortcomings that make it difficult to fully accept (yet!).

FARR is a hard app to replace.

gmrun. Very simple little thing (far from FARR ;) ). But for the times when I'm on my linux driven netbook it gets the job done.

Some tips can be found here: http://crunchbanglin...re-out-of-gmrun-af2/ (OT: the Crunchbang linux forums is actually a friendly linux forum!)
