You've got to hear the official song of DonationCoder.... (Taken from PCWorld newsletter....) Listen To Your Webpage Code Ever wonder what your favorite Website sounds like? Codeorgan reads a Webpage's HTML and converts it into a musical melody. Some pages sound great (try PCWorld.com), while others sound like a band that has had a little too much to drink (I'm looking at you MySpace). http://www.codeorgan.com/ The best one I've heard so far is http://www.thatscomedy.com/default.htm

The donationcoder.com website does not sound so pleasing to my ears, I'm afraid. It is however a very long song, which is more than I can say from some of the big name websites I tried

DC seems to have a sitar/drum/cymbal base, with maybe a theremin- or organ-like forground? Appropriate, I guess, considering some of the esoteric extant conversations. Kinda neat. Unfortunately, any of my stuff is somewhat cacophonous (?) . Hm-m-m ... wonder if submitting violates my NDAs ?

Couldn't resist ... had to find a link and try it ... a bit raucous for my taste, but not unpleasant . What I'd like to find is a link that will play a reasonable emulation of Bolero .

That would be fun, if the music was appropriate to the site. microsoft.com would play Van Halen's "The Full Bug" perhaps

Well...I tried about two dozen URLs. The best was www.longreads.com which sorta sounds a little bit like something akin to what somebody might think almost feels a lot like music. I'd give it an 8 for danceability, but only a 4 for political content. I'm sure headphones and a second drink would have significantly improved my listening experience and appreciation. However, www.sacred-texts.com apparently hangs the script. Draw what conclusions you will from that I suppose. Note: I also couldn't help but notice how musical www.codeorgan.com itself sounds. Purely a coincidence? ------- @ Tinman57 - Great find! Fun website. Thanks for sharing.
