Bolide CoolUtils Frigate... ehhh?

(1/1)

Curt:
We have been thinking a lot about the best Christmas present for Audio Compare users blah blah blah. Total Audio Converter is very affordable but we go further and offer you 55% discount (final price is less than $9). The offer is valid till January, 10.

But at the CoolUtils site they also have a great number of bundled offers.
The full list of products in the $99 CoolUtils Pro Suite:

Frigate3 (file manager with built-in file viewers (DBF, RTF, HTML, DOC, Excel), utilities (TreeNotes, StartUp Manager, Calculator, SmartPad, and Directory Size Manager)), and Total Converters: Audio + Image + Movie + HTML + PDF + PDF OCR + Outlook + Outlook Express + Thunderbird + iPod +++ , oh, I give up!! I have merely mentioned but a fraction of the apps included in this bundle, there are many many more! Read about it at http://www.coolutils.com/BundlePro.php , scroll down to "Alternatively, get Total Audio Converter for $2.67 within our CoolUtils Pro bundle!" 99 : 2.67 = 37

The reason I mention this everyday offer is because of Frigate3 which otherwise isn't named at their site. Some 2½ years ago our Darwin said that Frigate3.35 Pro was working well, but that was on XP or Vista. I didn't know it ever was updated, but the offered version is now called 3.36, so at some point in time  it clearly was. However, they don't say if Frigate3 is working with Win 7, one can only assume / hope / test.

Frigate3 Pro is $40. Frigate3 Standard is $25, but being included in the bundle it is now very cheap: $2.67!

I didn't know Bolide had anything to do with CoolUtils, and maybe they don't, apart from the initial offer? Also, I didn't know CoolUtils had anything to do with Frigate3, and maybe they don't, apart from the bundled offer? But CoolUtils / Softplicity seems to have an almost endless list of low priced programs available, mostly converters. They even have a bunch of free online converters.

Darwin:
Hmmm... interesting, Curt, thank you! I've never tried Frigate 3 under 7, but it worked fine under Vista (3.35 was the update that brought Vista compitability). I do have 3.36 installed on Win 7 in the XP VM, but haven't done much with it (al my file managers are installed in XP Mode, but I rarely, if ever, fire it up). Updates have come glacially slowly - 3.36 is a couple of years old.
