Ah, I have it now. I just added middle mouse click as double-click to my Transpose program. Only in effect when an Explorer Window is the active window. This way I can put the Windows settings back to the defaults. I can select a row with shift-click. Only thing is to open the row I have to hit Enter.. but that's no biggie. This way saves on my index finger while still allowing multiple selections and control-click select etc..

Pretty good compromise since I always run Transpose to get editor and browser hotkeys.
