reduced image clarity on MS word

(1/2) > >>

Subu123:
Hi

I've been using screen shot captor for some time...

Probably I changed some setting un intentionally and now
- While the image looks sharp on the SS captor editor,
- the image looks hazy when pasted to MS word

what should I do to improve clarity when image is posted to MS word

TIA
Regards
Subu

justice:
I found that when i added things to the image in word 2007 (for example reflection or shadows or rounded corners) the image became very blurry. Maybe this is what you are seeing? Solution is to try out the effects until you find one that is not blurry, or to use other software to apply effects.

To be clear if this is the case then it's not related to screenshot captor.

Shades:
This is a Word related "problem".

Take a screenshot with screenshcot captor.
Add the desired effect and store it (on disk or in the clipboard).
import the screenshot in a new Word document.
Store the document using 'save as', select the format 'Full web page (html)'.
Go to the storage location and check the folder that has the same name as your document.
Inside this folder you will find 2 images, one that is shown in Word and the other is the original.

Now guess which one is the blurry image.

I don't know why Word does this or how to disable it, but I tell you that Word is the culprit and not ScreenshotCaptor.

Subu123:
Thanks for the quick reply

Appreciate you taking the time and effort

However let me re phrase my question

1. I have been using SS Captor for some time
2. all along I was getting a certain level of clarity
3. The clarity has gone down since yeterday
4. I must have done something wrong when I opened the "preferences" in SS captor

5. All my editing, adding lines etc is in SS captor . I just cut or copy the edited image from SS captor and paste in word

Please re read my original post / question with this and please try to help me

Thanks in advance
and best regards

Subu

the first test you could do is use the same exact process to paste the image into an image editing program like paint.net, thegimp, whatever, and see if the image is clear.  if not then we can investigate.  if so, then its definitely a MS word issue.
