Facebook is starting to tick me off

ok, "my friends on chat",(on the left side of the main page) only shows pictures of my friends and not their names. How do I get their names only back?  Because of the small pictures I am having to mouse over the pics to see who it is.  that is just not right.

I have googled this but no good answers yet.  Any ideas?

edit: I should also say that i have been through all the settings and don't find anything promising.

They probably changed things so you can't have a list there any more.

But all hope isn't lost, if you are willing to have a list on the right side instead of the left.

That little chat thingy on the right has it's own options panel and if you check off all the boxes like this, it will give you a list that stays open, with names instead of images:

seems the actual chat window has done the same thing, and the options don't help.

Stupid thing, now i dont have names, or timestamps, mearly a bloody useless profile pic :s

Not quite the answer I was looking for.  But leaving the window open uses up precious screen real estate that could be better used elsewhere.

I don't actually bother with FaceBook Chat in the browser... I use Digsby's FaceBook integration 

But I just had a look at my FB page and the name is still there

I know in the past, not everyone gets the new features at the same time.  My kids usually end up with them before I do.  Not sure why but it does happen that way.

I haven't heard of Digsby before, I will have to check it our more.

I've got the same thing here. Chat box at the bottom still shows names though.

Just came upon Facebook Discovery today after reading Raymond CC's blog.  It looks very promising.

probably.  I did notice that FD added to my facebook that I had download and installed it.  They also placed a post asking what improvements were necessary.  I didn't see a checkbox that would have prevented this during the installation.  But maybe I just overlooked it?
