Per-Object Smoothing
« on: February 10, 2006, 11:25 AM »
Hi All,

When I cut and paste bits of a screenshot, I noticed that SSC applies a smoothing filter — note the first opera line (which is a copy-n-pasted object from another bit of the screenshot) is fuzzy:

Performance TP2 v.png

What I want is in the object properties to specify whether smoothing is applied to that object. This allows one to keep smoothing for other bits but turn it off specifically for other screenshot part objects (that look bad when smoothed). I know there is a setting in preferences but I assume that enables/disables app-wide, which I don't want.

Cheers

Transparancy set to 255 and Size set to 100%

I get the same thing if I turn off smoothing completely. All I've done is copy/pasted:

If I turn off prefs > object > use antialias when saving, then the blurring disappears. But then so does the blur on the text wheich I want to keep.

ah ok, now that makes more sense - you want antialias with some objects and not others..
would you mind adding that to the bugtracker so i wont forget to try to implement it?

OK, submitted: https://www.donation...king/view.php?id=181

I assume it is a feature request, though you mentioned that you thought a copy/pasted bitmap should not be antialiased so maybe it is a bug?
