Oh, shift!
« on: September 17, 2010, 12:32 PM »
The software that runs FileForum has a bug that as neat as it is annoying. When you type a review and use the word Shift  (the modifier key starting with “S”), the forum software thinks you’re swearing and replaces the last 4 letters of the word with three (3!) asterisks. As in: “press Shift+Enter” becomes “press s***+Enter”.

This is what you type:

And this is what shows up:

ff-display.png

(Bug reported. It'll be almost sad to see it fixed :-)

Did they ever tell you about the definition they give to mutineers?
Ya, they call them ship disturbers! ;)

Have to try that four letter word.   ;D

I really don't get why the Americans, the pioneers of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, try to force avoiding "four-letter words" at all... now don't mention "children safety" or something; I mean, hey, war is great, but don't even DARE to say "fuck"? WTF!

eh, while I get what you're trying to say, you're doing some pretty offensive generalizing there - and I'm not 'American', not even from the U.S. ;-)

Americans, the pioneers of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll

Yeah, the rest of the world didn't even know what sex was or how to perform it until the Americans invented it! ::)

I'm pretty sure sex and drugs were around long before America was an idea in the minds of humanity.

As for Rock'n'Roll, as an American I'll gladly let my great nation take credit for the invention of that. :D :P
