CenvoRox File Monitor (3.2.4.2)
(1/1)
adamantine:
i'm looking for a program that can show a detailed list of actions performed on folders and files in windows explorer (my OS - XP SP 2 Pro)
"CenvoRox File Monitor" seems more or less appropriate, but along with some not so big disadvantages it causes very strange behaviour of system:
1. i add my drives (C, F, G) as a folders to the window of this application
2. and as a result - it is no longer possible to rename ANY of the folders/files that are placed in the root of C, F or G (while CenvoRox is active). XP indicates that an object cannot be renamed because it is busy with another application. at the same time moving and deleting is possible as usual
i would like to ask, maybe, somebody knows what to do with this bug, and, possibly, there's a better alternative. i checked several more rather like programs, for example, Moo0 File Monitor (1.02) (Portable) and Process Monitor (2.91), but they suited me even less than CenvoRox
some info about program, just in caseCenvoRox File Monitor monitors file activity in real-time, seeing which file or folder is added/modified/removed/renamed and saving the results

ha14, thanks for the reply
i've reviewed your list (with the exception of disk-pulse - couldn't find any actual link) and checked several more other similar programs, but, unfortunately, it turned out that all of them meet my requirements even less than "CenvoRox File Monitor"
so, i will try to get on with it anyhow (though it will be quite difficult). at the same time i hope that the solution to the issue mentioned above exists
(is there users of this application here ? am i the only one who has such a problem with it ?)
