Send me on a click adventure

Introduce me to one fantastic blog, off the beaten path, that you don't think many people know about.

Here is mine for you:

Shalampax Speaks is a humor blog, based on the daily happenings in the tiny mythical island country of Shalampax. (you might have to browse the main site to understand some of it)

Kierkegard qualifies as off the beaten path, that not many people know about? How about Platow? Nietschew? Marxw?

They're all in the "Western Philosophy" category.

I don't think any of these guys have blogs.  :-\

Try Rodney Dangerfield.  He's dead but he still may be bloggin'.  Still has more of a sense of humor than you guys.

I think, therefore I don't feel like existing.

Sorry. My response wasn't meant to be helpful. It was just me being confused by MilesAhead's recommendation of Kierkegard as someone off the beaten path who people don't know about.

Okay, so here's one:

http://c418.org/

Some guy makes music for fun and games, and posts a lot of it for download on his blog. (I recently recommended his "Circle" album to you on Twitter.)

Here is 2 more for you...

There is a woman that specializes in retro pop culture that has 2 blogs, both of which are pretty good. One will make you laugh, the other will teach you some interesting bits of history.

The first one, Kitchen Retro, pokes fun at vintage print advertising.

The other, Virtual Dime Store Museum, is a bit more educational, giving background info on products that you just don't see any more, along with stuff related to NYC history.

I guess Dietrich ain't gonna' invite me to no parties impersonating philosophers pulled out of a hat.  Damn!!  Most people know Aristotle because he starts with 'A' :)

I don't know if you're into Asian Cinema, but this blog is a bit different:

Ninja Dixon

He does seem to have some foul-mouthed critics though. If you read the user comments you might want to wear a splash guard.  But some of the feedback is so hostile it's hilarious.

Oh, and he does discuss Asian Films when not engaging in encomiums about his cat.

The Wheel is Turning but the Hamster is Dead

This guy is really funny in an off-color, politically incorrect, foul language, throw grandma under the train and then provide a graphic description of what happens next sort of way. And when he rambles, it's even better. He will write about anything, his life, parenthood, marriage, health, sports, news, etc. And even when he writes about something that would normally be boring, it's funny.

He's probably about the only blogger I know that could get away with writing about what he had for lunch and people would actually want to read it and share a link to it.

He doesn't post as often as he used to, but when he does, he still gives you a good laugh.
