can you be more specific about what you are referring to? Do you mean the "member group" of a user shown on the forum? or are you asking a programming language question?

it just shows whether you are a supporting member (you donated), or a "charter" member (you donated during first year of DC existence), or an honorary member or plain member (usually means you were given full membership for some reason).  All of these all have same access and same level license key, etc.

The "Participant" member group is for people who have signed up but not made any donation.. that just means you don't have access to the discount code section we run for shareware occasionally, and that you don't have a permanent license key.  but such forum participants are still considered equals on the forum and welcome in our little family just like everyone else :)
