iTunes accounts used to hack Apple Appstore
« on: July 05, 2010, 10:07 AM »
Source

On Sunday we reported details of how one specific app developer had managed to hack iTunes users accounts and use them to purchase his own apps – making it to the top of the iTunes charts.

As the story has developed, the problem has grown far more serious than initially thought – not just that one particular developer and his apps - the Apple App store is filled with App Farms being used to steal.

This post will give a complete run down of what we know and will be continue to be updated as we learn further details.

That's impossible! Macs can't be hacked! Steve Jobs is God incarnate! BLASPHEMY~! :P :D

Oh man... This looks so good on Apple...

So much for SJ and all his ranting about "quality apps" and "f*** Flash" and all the other Apple rhetoric.

Reminds me of the big hack attack that happened right when iTunes was first released & there were many operations in China 'keygenning' iTunes gift card redemption codes.

Thankfully, this is DC, or else a swarm of Mac users would descend on this thread in the name of holy vengeance to explain why these are not security breaches in any way, shape, or form.

There's not much worse than Apple fanboys. But sometimes I think Renegade goes a leeeetle over the top. ;)

I heard about this story. If they think this is the first time it has happened they are nuts. It is just the first time someone got caught
