Well, those who have more than 2go Ram sure they will not experience fantastic jumps but for small laptops can run fine. If I well understood RAM flushes itself, but sometime if things didnt went well as expected then possibly ram cleaners can come in help.

I am sometimes using the Ram Manager integrated with WinUtilities Pro.  I find it gives good results after my XP PC is out of hibernation and there is a lot of accesses to the pagefile.  After an optim, it settles down and my PC resumes "normal" operation.
