keyboard with four function keys how to alter
« on: June 13, 2010, 06:55 AM »
Can someone tell me how to access the different letters on a four function key on my keyboard. Instead of a question mark I get an é etc. I know there is a way but I cannot remember it. I am 73 and my long term memory is now my short term and my short term seems to be missing. Thanks for any help :( vid345

It sounds like either a French or French-Canadian keyboard, although I've never used one.

Is there an Alt-Gr key that has to be held down?

Does it say QWERTY or AZERTY on the top row of letter keys?

Thanks Daddydave, sorry for the delay. It says qwerty and yes there is alt-gr key. I have not figured out how to use it but will try later today. Do you know what combo of keys that will change the symbol or letter to the one I want? vid345

Scroll to the bottom of this page and see if that helps any. It looks like Alt-Gr + the key gives you the extra function.
