for me is simply perfect. I will use often. Marvellous the capacity to activate or deactivate the comment option with the num block key activation. I would like ^+s to create a shortcut in the desktop directly. I will comment any other detail. Best Regards I am revising the fourth and fith lines in my spanis version.

I would like ^+s to create a shortcut in the desktop directly.
I was able to get this working with the following type of setting in CreateShortcutsIn.ini: 6=^+s::%USERPROFILE%\Desktop
Have you tried something similar?

100 executions of the option : in explorer windows The more habitual case is send from one windows to another 2/3 the rest is of one to two or more folders 1/3 Is it possible to have a hotkey for this option like ^+o or any other ? I have been varying and proofing the rest of modules without any incidence.

I tried adding some additional settings. Below is a snippet of a relevant ini file. May be no additional explanation is necessary. Formatted for INI with the GeSHI Syntax Highlighter [ copy or print] ; hotkey for "Choose Location..." ChooseLocHotkey=^+l ; hotkey for "In Explorer windows" InExpWinHotkey=^+w
http://ewemoa.dcmembers.c...tmp/CreateShortcutsIn.exeSHA-1: 91f9c641d58538158b24822eef0500eb7d6ac999 Haven't tested this that much, so please be careful.

ewemoa. I have scanned the web and I really think there is not a superior script to ShortCutsIn. I think is the best application for reorganizing in the simplest way (folders and linking i suppose are eternal in windows environments) . ShortCutsIn give us the opportunity to link all in our mind and in the pc directly over the folders and files. Of course we can manage documentation with specific software, but normally occupied more effort and less results for all that stuff that we download from the web waiting for a specific place . And this may be in most cases all we have to do. I know friends with only a folders organization. Additionally I use the superb Goldmine 5.5 , but ShortCutsIn is a superb helper. I have been working in a image inventory made with photos stored in folders and files. It's very quick when you control your own stuff. No need to describe : an image talks like many words..... And is very fast. ShortCutsIn is superb to reorganize from multiple concepts. In this way : You have a photo of each book, document, table, utils, computer stuff, etc. You organize the inventory by places : kitchen, bedroom, etc. We obtain a very quickly inventory with photos. Everybody have a super powerful mobile device to take photos ..... A folder for each part of the house. And a shortcut for the specialized conceptual organization. So I have books in the bedroom, in the office room, and in the main room, I create an specialized folder for the books that's is a shortcuts to the main files in the location organization. In the future I can make grow this idea of folders and files with ShortCutsIn using a virtual visit program like MyVirtualHome free from home users or similar. the point is never is lost the basic organization with folders and files. With a professional shop inventory you can use the photos. Or with a web inventory of your house for the insurance you can take the photos to describe your stuff. So ShortCutsIn is a powerful tool to inventory and to classify.

Thanks for your comments (and the nice image of the mountain/hill and sky from an earlier post). I have my fingers crossed that CreateShortcutsIn is not buggy

A first debugging session :
The third screenshot is in the My Documents. Perhaps this have no solution because of the title window is not easy for the script to find. But perhaps you can retrieve the unusual name and create a correct corresponding solution.
Sometimes I'm not aware why a window appear. So I put here the window and if you need more information I will pay more attention to the moment appeared until solution if possible.

I hope to consider this soon -- perhaps after sleeping Sometimes I'm not aware why a window appear. So I put here the window and if you need more information I will pay more attention to the moment appeared until solution if possible.
If you find a precise series of steps that can reliably reproduce problems you have please share them.

I have considered and researched a bit, and for the moment, have the following work-around. It may work for the equivalent of "My Documents" folder. Please let me know if it works for you: http://ewemoa.dcmembers.c...tmp/CreateShortcutsIn.exeSHA-1: c4ba80013eb77ca90d4785b3145d2cc20745fcbb

Ouwwww. I see the ini is not useful in this case and don't say what directories has special cirscuntances. In windows 7 I think there is a unicity in all languages, but in xp no. So we need this table to know the correspondences I supposed the only problem is the My Documents and similar folders. That's : My Documents   = Mis Documentos The other ones give correct path ( I think) in the title folder My Images = Mis Imágenes ------ > M:\Documents and Settings\JOSE\Mis documentos\Mis imágenes My Music = Mi música ------- > M:\Documents and Settings\JOSE\Mis documentos\Mi música My Videos = Mis VÃdeos -------- etc etc I am making proofs and obtain good results with Mis documentos folder One of the littles bug I remember is when I repeat create shortcuts over same folders. Now I am not obtaining warnings....

I had initially thought that folders such as "My Pictures" might require special treatment, but in local testing, found that the titles of the Windows Explorer windows ended up using full paths.
Is that not the case for you? If it isn't, if you list precisely which folders require special treatment, it may be doable to add support for them.
Another approach that occurred was the possibility of specifying a table (as you mentioned) in one's ini file. One of the problems with this idea is that I don't know of a good way to get the names of keys from an ini file in AHK in a convenient fashion.
AHK has IniRead, IniWrite, and IniDelete, but as far as I know, there is nothing like IniEnumerateKeys or IniGetSection.

I don't think I understand this. Is there a specific series of steps you can use to reproduce the problem? If so, please share -- may be an example with actual file and folder names?

All this time i have problem with the folders with names 0135.10 , 127.09 and similars. The script propose only 135 or 127 for the shortcut name. I change to my other pc to make new experiments. My books inventory from year 2007 don't go well when several folders are selected to go to the destiny folder.
