My new digital camera which was funded all by DonationCredits and arrived April 30, 2010. Thank you! The new camera is 12MP and is the FUJIFILM S1800 that came out just this year (March 2010 at Amazon). A few pictures taken with my older 4MP digital camera and resized down below: First is the camera box after opening the package from amazon... Second is the camera and accessories excluding the basic manual and software that came with it... Third is the SDHC card that I got to go with it... Donating does make a difference and for all the donations I received from donators that are too numerous to name them all... Heres one of the photos I have taken with the new camera (in super macro mode) and cut from 4000x3000 to 1680x1050 for my screen resolution so I could use it as a wallpaper image... Click thumbnail for full-size image...

congrats on being able to buy a sweet camera with DCcreds! One word of advice though, don't use macro mode to take a picture of your computer's keyboard! (or at least not mine) I just did that with my camera, because I wanted to see how well macro mode worked, and when I looked at the image, I almost puked. Anyways, I would like to see some more pictures from your new camera. The first one looks pretty cool.

Congratulations on your fine new pix device. I am shopping for a high-end DSLR right now. What made you choose THAT ONE? Your ideas would be very helpful for me. I am just about to buy a Canon EOS 550D.

I am just about to buy a Canon EOS 550D. Thanks! I wanted a step up from a normal point and shoot and more zoom with a little more control but not full manual at this current time. So as for full DSLRs I cant help you much. Sorry.

ICE works pretty well; I'd like to point out you can also stitch images together in Irfanview. It's not a true panorama tool, but I find it useful for creating before-and-after images. As to your new camera - congratulations! It's a nice step up from a pocket point-and-shoot and Fuji makes good cameras, too. You must be having a blast. I recall my first digital Nikon in about 2000; after 35 years of film cameras, I was blown away. Even my dSLRs haven't quite matched that first thrill. Good luck!
