Coding Horror blog has become must reading for programmers

we've discussed joel spasky before on this forum: he's extremely smart, and a very good writer (i have one of his books on user interface design), and has written some fantastic pieces.

but it's also true that more than a few of us find some of his posts/writing hard to swallow in terms of tireless self promotion, and obsession with money.  rubs me the wrong way a little.

I figured you might have mentioned him before, so I searched the forum for "Spolsky" before I posted.  No hits.

There's definitely a lot of ego floating around there.  We are the best of the best of the best, etc....
