Great - and please could we have a Favourite Path drop-down as well as path Browse? Thanks...
I hope that my previous post answered your question. If no, please describe what do you mean by "Favourite Path drop-down as well as path Browse".

You can invoke a right-click menu by the "Application" keyboard key (resides between Ctrl and Alt keys on my keyboard). I didn't know that In my case, it's the key between AltGr and right Ctrl. I think the icon's meant to be a menu. I always think it looks like a stylised petrol pump What user-defined options should be available in your opinion? ChoiceEditor works like an extension-sensitive context menu. You configure your own choices. In my case, for example, if I have Total Commander's cursor on a .txt file and press F4, I get a menu like the first screenshot. On the other hand, if the cursor is on a PDF file, I get a menu like the second screen shot. Some items appear on both menus because I configured them to be available for any extension, "*" I'm not sure about what do you mean by "send plain filename". But MultiFind Pro already adds several useful command to context menu: "Open File name" and "Copy file name". I'd like to copy file name only, without path; copy file name with path, as Multi-Find does now; and copy file name with full UNC path. I don't need the last so much now, but it would have been useful when searching the network at work.

Yes, that looks like it will fit the bill admirably, thanks.

Cashper, maybe I'm missing something again, please can the currently-focussed tab be closed with Control-F4 or Control-W?
The filtering that allows you to search-within-a-search is nice, but please can there be a hotkey to put the cursor in the filter box? Maybe one that sort of "tabs" between the different filter options, File, Folder, etc.?
Thanks...

I just now browsed to the MultiFind site and noticed new releases. MultiFind Pro 1.73 and MultiFind 1.51 are the current versions. Thanks Cashper.

@Cashper: I have encountered situations where there's not enough text displayed in the "Matches" tab. Please consider adding an option which would allow the user to add more characters before the found/highlighted text. Since Curt previously mentioned a spelling error, please allow me to mention that in Options the context menu should read " Integrate MultiFind into Explorer folder's context menu". Like others have mentioned, I'm also hoping for a portable version. Thanks very much.

...portable version of MultiFind Pro has just been released.
Hi Cashper. IMO MultiFind Pro is a good file search software fairly priced at $24.95 (1-user license). I recently recommended it to a friend who needed to search through many documents. btw I no longer see any reference to a free version of MultiFind. Have you dropped that feature limited version or does MultiFind Pro revert to the limited MultiFind after the 30 day evaluation period? Thanks for the portable build.

Hi sajman99, MultiFind (free version) is not dropped and is updated from time to time, but some features are only present in MultiFind Pro. You can find link to MultiFind on midlinesoft.com, just go to home (root) page.

About the way searches are specified :
Is there an easy way to look for files that have say 'alpha' and 'beta' in their name. I would like to locate files having names such as alpha-20-beta.doc betaplusalpha.txt beta.alpha
etc.

I would think that is what regex expression searches are about, isn't it?

For file content, not for file names I think.

No, currently no discount is available. About the way searches are specified :

Yes, there is. Enter "alpha;beta" in the "File name" field.

Thanks for clarification.
Regarding the 'Alpha' 'Beta' search , I thought alpha;beta was looking for files containing either alpha or beta in their filenames. Anyway, I'll try it !

I confirm : Alpha ; Beta returns all files having either Alpha or Beta in their filename, not what I wanted !
Also, there may be something missing from the latest pro version (1.74) : there is no way to clear the filters except doing it manually. I wish clear results would also clear the filter, or another button could be required.
Of course I may have missed something, so please don't hesitate to mention it.
