SOLVED: Close = minimize, on some windows
« on: January 31, 2010, 10:18 AM »
Hello, i have a req
I'm using Opera (browser) a lot, but everytime i finished my job (viewing a site, watching, etc) i move my cursor fast in the right corner and close it, then i regret because my pc it's not very fast and when i open again the application i'm staying like 5-10 sec, so i want that on Opera, or any other windowses, the close button to be the minimize command.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english skills. I hope i make myself clear.

Aw, that's hard.  :P

There is some software for that.
See here, for example: Bing search.

Skrommel has a utility called NoClose

https://www.donation...m/Software/Skrommel/

You could disable the Close button on Opera so you couldn't close it accidentally.

Not entirely what you are looking for but perhaps a place to start...

Opera has a "Confirm exit" option.  Go to Tools, Preferences, Advanced tab and check the box.

qubeex: I think you're most definitely looking for skrommel's NoClose, IIRC it was created just with what you asked in mind.
