Happy new year, skwire. Any chance of adding 1) word-wrap and 2) option for blank line between clips to ClipTrap?
Thanks.

@skwire
Does ClipTrap convert the Clipboard text to plaintext? If not, please consider adding this option. Thanks.

Hi, skwire:
Thought you'd be delighted to know that ClipTrap is flagged as a Trojan by Sunbelt/GFI's VIPRE. Perhaps it secretly steals DonationCredits, a sure-fire way to earn millions.
I've notified Sunbelt of the false positive.

Hehehe...I'm not quitting my day job just yet. Which version are you runing? v1.0.4 scans clean at Jotti. I've notified Sunbelt of the false positive. Thanks. Much appreciated.

I'm using v1.0.4 build 1 and VIPRE Premium, which should yield the same results as VIPRE.

I've already heard from Sunbelt. Your website has an older version so I pointed them to the latest version. The version they tried scans clean, and weirdly, if I manually scan just my ClipTrap folder it scans clean as well.

Hmmm...I'm showing that the download itself is the v1.0.4 zipfile even though the page says v1.0.3. I wonder where they got an older version from?

Thanks for taking the time to let them know about their mistake longrun -- we coders depend on users to do such things

I think they just saw the version number on your site and assumed the download was the same version; I'd reported that I was using 1.0.4. I have had a rocky relationship with VIPRE and repeatedly uninstalled different versions from one machine on which it wouldn't work, but I think Sunbelt/GFI should be congratulated for responding to my false positive submission within an hour. And a scan I just did found nothing amiss.

Very useful to add extra blank line between clips.
What I'd prefer, though, is the following:
=====
That is: a blank line, five equals signs, another blank line.
Probably we all have our own preference to separate clips.
Perhaps you could allow the user to come up with their own, a custom between-clips separator?
Thanks for a really terrific program.
Nicholas

I would greatly appreciate it, Skwire.
As things are at present with ClipTrap, it's hard to clearly see where one snippet stops and another begins -- especially as many snippets cover several paragraphs.
I think with the clear separation between snippets ClipTrap would be a must-have utility, and get tons of praise out there in cyberland. ClipTrap would be the best in its category. And FREE. Unbelievable value.

ClipTrap would be the best in its category. And FREE. Unbelievable value. Thanks for the kind words. Though I think that ClipTrap serves a specific purpose, there are plenty more capable clipboard managers out there. Website | Download v1.0.5 - 2011-03-22 + Added custom delimiter option. (Thanks, nkormanik) * Changed toolbar and button icons to the Fugue set. - Removed "Add extra blank line option" since you can now specify a custom delimiter. For two blank lines, like before, use: \r\n\r\n

There certainly are lots of clipboard managers out there, offering all sorts of feature sets. I've tried them all.
HOWEVER, ClipTrap version 1.05 is now top of the heap when a user simply wants to collect any number of text snippets from any source in a very orderly way. No other clipboard manager is capable of doing it as well.
And Skwire has provided his wonderful utility to the world absolutely free, no nag screens, no extra ads, simply pure value.
Everyone should grab this gem.
Thanks again, Nicholas Kormanik

Thanks. May I assume you were able to set up your delimiter how you wanted?

Snippet delimiter is now exactly as I was wanting:
\r\n\r\n=====\r\n\r\n
And any other possibility as well for other users.
Sure hope the world takes note. Makes life so much easier.
One additional thought of appreciation -- you chose to include auto word-wrap of the text. Fantastic! Other programs don't include that -- you end up with a stupid block of text that takes forever to reformat. ClipTrap does it automatically. What a godsend.
