Scanner funct. from SSC
« on: November 20, 2009, 07:30 AM »
Good day Mouser,

The following question i put on the forum and had an anwer on it. But i have a question for Screen Shot captor.
I CAN make a scan with your program to my Canon Pixma MP600r, via my laptop.

But ... with the Nuance software i can also do that WIRELESS from the Canon-scanner, when my laptop is somewhere else in the house.
But is that also possible with ScreenShot Captor. I think there has to be created a link/recognition between Canon and ScreenShot Captor.

i hope you understand.

Topic on the General Forum:
i have a Canon Multifunctional Pixma MP600R. I use the included software for wireless scanning from Nuance, ScanSoft Omnipage SE 4.0.

When, in the next future, i want to upgrade my Windows Vista to Windows-7, the software for scanning from Nuance is not compatible with/for Windows-7.
And the guys of Nuance told me that this free-included software will not be supported in the future. The same story from Canon.

They 'advised' me to buy there software for a few hundred of dollars ...

Does anybody know if there are alternatives for that ScanSoft Omnipage? And that i can use that with my Canon Pixma?

(btw. i use also ScreenShotCaptor and i read about a 'scan-functionality'. But will that work with that Canon-machine..??).

Thanks in advance. pitrpaulus.

go to sc scanner options tab
try both twain and wia modes and see if you can find your remote canon scanner.
