What is so cool about Wave anyway? i hear it's like a cross between a chat and wiki, i just don't see the appeal.

The Google Wave people gave me 30 new invites for their Wave service. I had to spent one of those invitations, but there are still 29 left.

PM me if you want one.  And yes, they are valid...I had a thread here on DC for giving away 5 invitations to the DC crowd from my previous batch of invitations.

Even if you don't think much of this new Google service, but you are a fan of the TV-show 'FireFly', you owe it to yourself to get a invitation!!! ;)

Interesting, maybe not worth all the hype interesting but interesting nonetheless. Thanks for the link. Maybe i'll get someone to give me an invite to check wave out, you know for science...

Update: I have been given invites for myself and my girlfriend, but haven't heard anything from Google yet after a few days. Seems like they are either sending them out slowly or are doing them in batches.

I'm waving. Well, technically I will be waving. Right now I am going to be playing Civ IV with my girlfriend until bedtime. I'll wave tomorrow. Thanks to Pierre Paul Landry for the invitation. And this is just the latest in what have been several months of DC being really helpful. I will be donating $20 to the site and will be asking for last minute votes before I close my Rypple feedback.

See ya all tomorrow. Good Night.

I would love to have more wave users in my network so i can actually test its potential for collaboration, support, training and more.
I'm superiphi at gmail (note: dont need an invite, just contacts to add)

Google Wave is getting in gear...they gave me just now 16 new invites as well. That is a total of 66 invites! 40 of those I have spent, so there are 26 people who can get an invite from me as well. As the other members here who generously offer their invites, PM me if you want one.

Me as well, 16 invites.

And I noticed some performance improvement too. Ever since I signed up I had tried to read the Lifehacker public wave (a pretty large one) and every time I had gotten the "...do not fret" error. Not today though.

Google Wave Notifier

here's a potentially useful tool - Google Wave Notifier.

Google Wave Notifier logs into your Google Wave account and checks the Inbox for unread messages. You will be notified with a Windows balloon notification when there are unread messages.

You're welcome :) And thank you Shades for sending me.

@iphigenie, I am sure you will receive them and before long you can't give them away. Already seeing less response (for example when I tweet that I have invites)

That's when you go through your contact list and see who you might want to have ribbon style discussions with :)

I think if I tweeted I would be swamped still (considering I have 6 invites left I wont tweet, enough people could benefit still)
