Selecting group of messages/Mail Ticker The BAT
« on: January 08, 2006, 01:46 PM »
I am playing around with The Bat and trying to tidy up my Inbox. How do I select a batch of messages to delete. I have a group of 173 messages that need deleting.

Secondly I can't find the Mail Ticker everyone talks about. What does it do? I have The Bat Professional from the discount on this forum.

Also if anyone has any ideas how to do delete that account that I posted about I would most grateful.

I may ultimately have to email support but thought I would try posting here first. I have tried Help and FAQ but I think I am missing something.

as with most windows apps you can hold control while you select to select multiple items,
or click first, then hold shift and click last to select a range.
or hit ctr+A to select all.
these things work in most windows app.

you can also do this also from thebat search window if you wanted to search for all messages that matches some criteria then select and delete.

mailticker settings in options:
mailticker.png

change from 'hide' to something else to show it when there is new mail.
i should say i do not use the ticker - i like just having the try icon change to an animated bat and a little ding sound.

Thanks Mouser, have only just got back online fully after my Wireless Modoem and Router issue. Linksys support have taken nearly 3 weeks to sort it. Just a nightmare.

Yes its great I can work downstairs to be with my dogs. However I annoyed with PCWORLD all the notices for Linksys offers etc sales ends 2nd Jan. Only to find a week later that reduce the fastest Linksys Modem and Router in the second sale. Really really irratating!!!

Hmmm ... have you ever noticed how MFI have sales in their sales - does anyone ever pay full price for any MFI item.

I'd guess it is the same at PCWorld - especially during January Sales time.
