I was doing a presentation on Sat, and I guess my power cord wasn't plugged in all the way, so I was on battery power. Died halfway thru the presentation in front of 1000 people, and went in hiberation. Bad!!
I use the laptop for audio so they don't see the screen.
I want a small flashing box on my screen every time I'm on battery power so this never happens again. Anyone seen such a tiny program?

My daughter uses Yahoo Widgets on her laptop. They have a ton of battery related stuff. http://widgets.yahoo.com/search/?q=batteryIt's pretty much a matter of taste as to which you choose. Some have audio alerts when remaining power goes under a certain threshold, others will popup to topmost level on your screen.

BatteryStatus.exe (101.5 KB - downloaded 70 times.)BatteryStatus 1.1.exe (144.5 KB - downloaded 34 times.) BatteryStatus 1.1.1.exe (144.5 KB - downloaded 516 times.) Nag me if you'd like any changes. V1.1 - Added a small mode, and settings dialog. You can now choose display position and size. Changed to a more restrictive license as per mrmandala's request. V1.1.1 - Fixed a bug with docked toolbars. Thx lanux128 for the report.

Excellent.
Ideally I'd like to be able to resize the screen size just a bit. Sometime just one line high is enough to just see the status.
Maybe right click for a selection of sizes? (command line parameter would be ok) Can it (maybe by command line switch switch) default to top right? Can we change poll rate?
Do you offer ahk source?
Still, very usable as is, so very much appreciated.

This is very handy, any chance of a censored version of the About text? I'm sure someone would take offence! Cheers

Can’t you change the wording? It’s inappropriate / childish / not corporate-compliant.
What the fuck is not clear in “DO WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT TO”? If you do not like the license terms, just relicense the work under another license.
Back to seriousness, do you know any other license that allows as much freedom as the WTFPL without forcing me to release sourcecode?

V 1.1 is out. Added some customization options. Also moved from the WTFPL to a more 'family friendly' license. This program is catware/donationware. If you find it useful in any way, pay for this program by spending one hour petting one or several cats. A donation to the author would be nice, but is not required.

Yup. HKCU\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\BatteryStatus\Config

Can you provide the option to have the warning appear:
1. only on battery, or 2. only on AC, or 3. both

I'm allergic to cats. Now I can't use this software. At your option, you can abide to the terms of the WTFPL
