I'd like to have an app that loads as a service in windows that shuts down my computer at random time intervals, no warning, no indication, just kills it.

it's true this request is already implemented in commercial and freeware form.
commercial = win95/98 freeware = viruses

this is going to sound stupid but i'm genuinely curious... ... if you run win98 inside a virtual system like vmware's workstation - does it still crash like a true win98 system?

yep, you can get a blue screen inside vmware - it's a joy to behold. i imagines its kinda like if a robber shoots you and you have bullet proof glass - there is a distinct feeling of satisfaction

hey, and don't be discouraged if your idea doesn't get much attention,
it's good when there are a lot of requests because coders will then have more to choose from in looking for one that catches their eye. there's no shame in posting an idea that doesn't get implemented, don't get discouraged and keep posting your ideas.

A utility that tells you what you are doing.
- On mouseclick, a wav that says "click!" - On DblClick = "Doubleclick!" (- Scrolling = "Scroll down/up/left/down")
- After 1 min of no activity = "You haven't been clicking or scrolling for 1 minute"
Just to make it a little more useful, it might have a log of how many clicks there have been...!

hehehe that sounds kind of fun.. you have to hook mouse stuff though.. there is some fun counters that tell you how many clicks and how far your mouse has moved.. anyone got any links to some good freeware ones? those might be fun. and better than us reinventing the wheel here so to speak

REQUEST: an app that adds a specified folder to windows path so it can be run from anywhere .. maybe a commandlineapp like: add2path.exe "c:\program files\dydlo\" or even add the function to the explorerrightclickmenu so that you can simply click on a icon!
