Hi mouser and friends!

This is maybe the most accomplished software from Ashampoo and we can have for free the latest version !
... Or the lighter 2010 version.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 9 is a major update that improves almost every aspect of the program, adding many new features and capabilities in every part of the program. It also introduces LightScribe burner support (from version 9.10) and a new Movie Editor for editing and combining your videos before burning them to DVD. The Movie Editor has functions for cutting, transitions, fades, subtitles, titles and more, plus a point-and-click DVD menu editor with animated themes for creating great-looking interfaces for your DVD movies.

The new version also packed with improvements, new features and fine tuning that make all Burning Studio’s functions more powerful and even easier to use.

With a filename like that I'd wager it was an auto-generated-upon-request filename that changes every so often to prevent hot-linking. If so, no one will be able to answer you. What to the file's properties say?

Hi tomos !

Yes that's the good file - the one we have installed and tried ( see our article )
It's a download from Computerbild . It's serious even if it's their Russian version website  :)

Hope it's useful.

http://for-free-on-i...nt-the-latest-v-912/

I followed the links and have received a full copy of CyberLink PowerDVDDirector 7 Ultra, for FREE! ♥♥ - and the German site's upload speed for the 680 MB was only limited by my download speed, 2.600 KB/sec!! ♥  But then there were the updates... sigh! "error: Please uninstall and reinstall the program"!!! ♠ Edit: and this procedure made me click the wrong button, so now I have lost my (free, no license) PowerDVD!!!  :(

My Burning Studio 8 refuses to burn anything now! Everything 'fails'... :(

No problem with other Burners though!

- your post is confusing me, *Cat. I assume you have followed the link from the first post and upgraded your version 8 to become a version 9 or 2010 ?

I already have version 9, so I haven't tried this 'trick' the thread here is talking about, but if the installation & registration of the new version 9/2010 went well, you should by now be able to merely download a new free copy from your page at Ashampoo's. Not?

Edited: I was thinking about a repair install on top of the old new file.

I'm already registered at Ashampoo but the 'free' one wouldn't accept the same address so used a different one?

- I'll say you then should remove the old Ashampoo version and maybe reinstall the new version. Of course first check that the Old Version file & key still is available from your Ashampoo account.

I don't think you have to use the same email address at Ashampoo's, but when you have registered the new version, I will say you should log in to your Ashampoo account and change 'the other' address which you gave when you first registered the new file, so you only have one (merged) account. I haven't tried this myself, so I am only assuming it will work.

Hmm... did this make sense?  :-[

-good :-)  and I am glad you made the right choice, concerning 9.10 versus 2010 (why didn't anyone remember to tell that (also) the final version 2010 will be freeware?).

Did it install and is it working for you?
