In Help -> About -> Credits you read:
Special thanks to "Absent Professor" on the DonationCoder forums for the original idea.
...but that should be "Abent Professor" :)

Nope.  See earlier note about messing up his name in the registration.

Just started using Waste Not (version 1.0.7, the most current one).  It's the kind of tool I've been seeking for a while,  but I have one minor (?) request.  My vision is impaired and I find it difficult to read the entries with the coloured fonts and backgrounds.  The red text blends too much into the lighter red background, and the same happens to me for the green entries.  Would it be possible to change the text to plain black, but leave the coloured backgrounds?  This would make the entries much easier to read.  Thank you.

Hi, Waster, and welcome to DonationCoder.

Let me see what I can do for you.   :D

Not sure if anyone has suggested it yet but wouldn't this be a perfect app for a smartphone?
Scan the bar codes with the cell to load the items into the sheet then just add the date of purchase (could even add the date of expiration, :)
Cellphones can now print to most printers so a weekly rescan could update the sheet.
Personally I'm looking for the day my "Smart-fridge "can TELL me it is a "bad idea" to eat that out-of-date by 3 months Yoplait Yogurt.

( never see tose tiny numbers till after the first mouthful when it is too late!
I have seen an egg tray for any fridge that already does that based on scans of he insides of the eggs.  Might save a quick trip to the Er.  :)

Yeah, probably, though,  I've never done any mobile development.
